I would like to strip the white paint from my wall mounted handrail and stain/varnish it!
Before I take the plunge, can anyone advise on whether or it would be more beneficial (time wise) to simply replace it with a new one. I've had no joy searching the internet for a rough guide on prices!
I would prefer to replace it as it is a rather a bog standard flat (vertical) rail attached to a square block, which is fixed to the wall. The problem with this though, is that I don't know exactly how it is fixed to remove it - I'm sure it's easier than it seems!
Any advice gratefully received - thanks! |

heeelllooo chris
the last hanrail i fitted [mopstick handrail] costs £2.50 a m
with a [£2bracket] every m
so 4m of handrail =4x£2.50 + 5x £2 =£20
mopstick handrail looks like a t cake with a waist

Hi have you looked at the Stairplan.com website they have wall mounted handrails and prices online, but they may have a minimum order? |
