silicone on brick

i used silicone to seal round a window then the rain came on and washed it down the brick ive tried to remove it with silicone eater and with a wire brush but it never worked is ther anything i can use to remove it ??

hi can you tell me what acetate is and how to get it tried google but never had a clue

Acetate is a cleaning agent, it is acid based but should be ok to use on your brick work as long as you hose it down well after using it, its derivative is Acetone and you can buy it at most places that sell cellulose paint or a builders supply, you can also purchase it from the link below if you find it hard to buy locally.

You could also try cellulose paint thinners!
