Hi,

A friend has asked me to fit some internal doors for her. They are PVCu coated on a wooden frame, with a plastic trim on the lock edge and an angled plastic trim on the hinge edge. The trims look as though they pull off, and the lock mechanism and latch holes are pre-drilled.

I've fitted internal wooden doors before so know the score, but have never seen any doors like these.

I presume that trimming to size has to be done on the lock edge as doing anything to the hinge edge will destroy the angled profile.

Any advice or comments would be most appreciated.

Many Thanks

Paul

Nothing really to advise!

One thing, the finish marks easily and can not be filled/sanded so be careful and protect the door while you work

Don't use your best plane on the plastic!

Sorted. The doors have plastic trims which can be removed, allowing trimming of the frame.

Cheers
