I have a tiled false roof half way down the house that goes over my bay window and then extends, unsupported, from the side of the bay to the end of the house, about 6ft. The unsupported end has come away from the wall at the top end, about 1.5 inches, meaning that the outer edge of the end has dropped about 1.5 inches. My idea is to try and use an acrow prop to jack it back into place and then put a gallows bracket underneath to support it.
Has anybody come across this before and what are the potential pitfalls?
Any help will be appreciated.

souds like the gallows is a little bit late!

using a gallows bracket or a brick pillar ia a fairly normal way of dealing with the end of a canopy roof.

just make sure the bracket is supporting the carrying timber/s and not something superficial.

by the way, it is not a false roof it is as real as any other, 'tis a lean-to or mono-pitch. ;)
