Using sand as a base for a patio

Hi
Can anyone tell me as a guide how much sharp sand i need to cover an area of 20sqm before laying slabs??

depends how thick it is to be.

multiply the length by the width, then multiply this by how thick you want the sand

for 2cm deep means 20 X .02 = .4 cubic meter

Say .5cubic meter - which is 1 jumbo bag from Wicks. for 2cm deep.

Probably need 2 jumbo bags as you'll probably need about 4cm deep.
