If you read the claims it does not remove limescale, it prevents it from forming on attachments.
Therefore if you are after soft water, this isn't what you are looking for. You need a water softener.
Whether or not it alters the molecular structure of scale is interesting. Other people make similar claims for magnets and electromagnets, plus radio waves.
Bear in mind that if you remove scale it has to go somewhere. I must say the unit looks a bit rough for a grand.
