cracks in walls in just built conservatory

help,hubby just near completed building new conservatory.its brick built with brick peers,ready for hanging door and putting in windows.oh dear theres a long staight crack through the cement in one of the large blocks,the corner one and a zig zag shaped one on the other side through the bricks, about four affected. built in the terrible heavy down pour we had a bout three weeks ago. has he got to pull it all down.? :rolleyes: footings were about 22" deep.he has been building since end of feb this year. very disapointed. :(

Cracks in a small conservatory wall so soon after building are not a good sign at all. Post some pictures
 
Doesn't matter what depth the foundations are, if they are build on cack ground...and diagonal cracks suggest there's some movement at foundation level.

Pix are a necessity.

building in the rain generally makes for a better cohesion betwixt mortar and masonry.

try knocking down an old wall that was built with hard wet bricks and you will see what i mean.

if the rain is so heavy that it washes all the mortar away, then that's a different matter.....:cool:
