I`ve got a concrete path running around the outside of my bungalow that is very narrow in places and I want to widen it onto the garden by about 150mm.
Can anyone in the know advise the best mix/type of concrete to use for a smooth finish? The path is some 35 years old and well weathered so are there any tips so as not to get the newer concrete too light in colour?
I`ve mixed concrete using B & Q Ballast and cement as a base for garden steps which looks good for purpose and came up looking course, but that wasnt visible.
As the path is visible I want to get a smoother finish. I think i`m ok by using a wood former to get the required width but i`m not sure about how to get a good finish.
Grateful for any advice.
