There is a lot of fine dust falling in one corner of a room where the ceiling meets the outside wall. It also almost looks as though the ceiling is coming away from the wall slightly. It is a top floor room and the roof is a flat roof. Does that sound like a simple re-plastering/decorating job or something more sinister... thanks

but this info should help the clever lads and lassies
work it out ;)

Is it possible to put up coving ?

It is quite normal for the flat roof to lift up to 12mm due to timber expansion and this one of the reason for coving design to over come it otherwise you're forever filling in gaps but it will settle down.

I take it you mean internal wall ?

The dusts maybe coming from the insulation.

Ok thanks - doesn't sound like a drastic problem then. cheers
