Hi all. I'm new here and I'm glad I found you because I'm in need of some professional advice. I'm thing of buying a house. The house in question is fairly typical I think. It has what is known as 2 reception rooms. The front room is really small but there is a room directly behind. there is an archway walkthrough just now. I'd like to demolish the wall all to gether but there is a chimney stack in the way. Could this be taken out along with the wall to create an open space? I guess the chimney stack is a pretty integral part of the house so I guess it would need support from above. If so, what need to be done and what might it cost?
