Hi all
We live in Belgium and we have a nice old fashioned house with single glazing in Oak frames, the council won't let us fit new windows
What do you think of this idea!!!!
The window frames are in good condition and there seems to be no draughts as they were very well made in their time. The glass is 3mm thick with lead strips, this is the part we cannot change my idea is to fit 6mm Pilkington K glass on the inside of the frames, in effect giving a 1" gap between glass, could this give enough saving on heat loss to make this a viable project???????
