Last year we had a wall removed from our kitchen - RSJ fitted. Several builders looked at the wall and it was 'semi-supporting' (off centre from the wall upstairs)
I checked at the time and felt from the details on our Council website that we did not need to get this work inspected - can anyone advise me?

if a support beam Ie rsj has to be fitted this is classed as structual and usually comes under building control.

chances are no one will even notice. if any thing comes at a later date just play dumb.

No such thing as a semi-supporting wall. It either supports something or it doesn't.

If its still up after one year, then there is a good chance it will stay up  so don't bother getting the council involved now
