Henry Hoover

Im thinking of buying a hoover. Live in 2 bed house, carpeted with old inherited carpets at the mo, just moved in. I have a cat, and occassionally have 2 old dogs for their hols !! I have a dyson 14 upright, that is useless, I know the old carpets don't help. but have been thinking about getting a Henry Hoover. Does anybody have one, and what are they like?

How odd, no threads on vacuum cleaners for I don't know how long and then 3 at once!

I have a Meile 'house' pull around vacuum and a Charles (wet & dry version of Henry) garage / building vac. Both are superb, especially the Charles - it will suck up just about everything! But, and I have a cat, if you have carpets, I would rcommend getting an upright (but not a Dyson!). You can't beat having a mechanically driven rotating brush for picking up cat hair and the like.
