I want to plant up a small orchard with about 15 trees. I know that the water main (blue plastic pipe) has been routed somewhere diagonally across the area, but I don't know exactly where. What would be the cheapest/easiest/quickest way to find this out?
Water divining?
Builders plans (house is only 4yrs old)?
CATS scanner?
Or would my local Water Board do the search (for free, even)?

Thanks for any advice ....

dig a hole by hand , wont cost anything, g teed results.

then look to see which way it is runningng go futher down repeat process

who cares what the plans say, the question is where IS the pipe

Surely you know where at least one end of the pipe is, so dig a hole there and see what direction it heads.
