no. the flooring material (concrete, screed) should go right up the the sill.
Hi this is a new build extension i am talking about the out side doors ie the front door plus 2 French doors, the gap between the outside wall and the inner wall.

Should i fill the gap if so what with, or will door/window fitters bridge the gap.
cut the dpc through the centre and fold back.
remove the top course of bricks from the inside skin or hack off 75mm of block, if it is blockwork.
lay the dpc back down.
lay some dpm into the trough.
fill with screed right up to the back of the door sill.
