Is decking oil suitable for softwood half rounds?

Hi all, need to protect my wooden fence walls, that i have just done using half rounds (soft wood). Can i use the cuprinol decking oil for this, as i like the colour and end result of this, but not sure if it will work the same on the half round soft wood? Also could you ise this on featherboard fences?

it should be fine, its all produced from the same timber. try a little first

Cheers, there are so many types, especially from cuprinol, makes it so diffivult, and their not blinking cheap!!
