adding another 16 ohm extension speaker

hi could someone please tell me if i want to add another 16 ohm extension speaker to my existing gardtec cpx control panel, do i need to wire it in parallel or does it need to be wired in series.
if its in series (which i think it maybe), can i purchase 8 ohm extension speakers. (not seen in my local wholesalers) then wire in parallel

although it should in theory be in series, most will tollerate 2 in paralel
