hi im having a problem with my ariston microgenus mffi23 combi boiler, lockout led comes on regularly and boiler resets when i press reset button. was advised to change thermistor, is this the DHW temperature sensor? where could i get one please

it is in manual as ignition failure lockout red l.e.d. The boiler will not reset if the temperature l.e.d's [yellow] are lit but if i run some hot water i can reset? p.s this problem has started since i emptied system to clean it.
From your description i havent got a clue. Temp and thermistors should have nothing to do with ignition. Although it would probably be more clear when in front of the thing.
