eradicating (sp) DAMP

hi,
i have a damp wall and believe it is due to a faulty gutter pipe which i will be getting fixed.
my question is once i have had the pipe repaired how do i then dry the wall? the wall paper etc is wet.
sorry about the lack of technical speak lol

It will dry on its own

as the great woodster says, let it dry naturally.

don't be too alarmed if you get efflorescent salts deposited on the surface, once dried out.

brush the friable stuff away and re decorate.

that is if the wall paper falls off of course!
