Getting some reclaimed tiles for a garden shed.

It will be approx 6m x 5m with a pitch of 35deg.

The tiles are 10.5" x 6.5" concrete tiles, how many would i need?

I think about 1500.

Also are these heavier then clay?

at 100mm gauge you will require approximately 60 tiles/m2.

at 95mm gauge - 64/m2.

at 90mm gauge - 68/m2.

their weight per m2 respectively: 78kg, 83kg, 88kg.

30m2 will require (30 x 60) 1800 tiles.

you will also need tile 'n' halves, eaves and ridge.

all of the above is based on concrete tiles. i have not got a clue as to the weight comparison with clay but i'm sure they are fairly similar.

why is the weight thing important?

Just wondered if they were heavier and needed deeper rafters.
