New to this and need help!!! attaching to concrete ceiling..

Howdy

I am new to this and dont know if this is right section for this but here it goes!!

I am looking to put a speedball or punchbag up but live in flat and I have a concrete ceiling so could you advise me on how id go about fixing to this ceiling.

fixing will depend upon the make-up of the ceiling, though i don't envisage many hollow spots.

i would not fix the hanging bracket direct to the ceiling.

i would be more inclined to fix a timber plate to the ceiling then fix the hanging bracket to the timber. use say a 450 x 450mm piece of 25mm ply rawl bolted to the ceiling.

it is likely to make a racket in the flat above though.

And check the lease as you may not be permitted to fix things like this into the ceiling slab.

also, there may be lighting cables chased into the ceiling plaster.
