Hi, can anyone out there tell me where the little ball bearing goes that came out of the water governor as i was about to remove the diaphragm from it? There is no mention of it anywhere and i can`t put it back together till i know. I will be grateful for any reply.

I never disturb any ball bearings when I change a diaphragm!

Do you have the ACS qualification for gas water heaters?

I've never come across this problem either, so have never seen this ball bearing, but I assume it is some form of slow ignition device?

Yep your right dave its out of the slow ignition device.
And does not come out on diaphragm change you must have took extra bits off for this to fall out

Yeah the other day i was changing a thermistor in a baxi 105e and this fan fell out rofl, in all seriousness, you have either miss read your instructions or taken wrong part off.
