hi i dont know about you but my wife seems to spend a fortune on the fragrance plug ins?? well no more i have found that you can refill the bottles with a concentrated zoflora disinfectant and it comes in many fragrances, just remove the wick from the bottle and fill 1 small bottle will fill around 5 and at around £1 odd per new refill its agood saving
So pass the tip on to your wife and start saving money in these hard times

Look, its simple, just pump up enough courage to tell your wife that she needs a bath!

If you suggest to your wife that pot pourri looks nice, smells nice (can be refreshed) and does not use leccy so saves on the bills & the planet you may also save her buying the refills.

Nobody needs these bloody things! Just open the effing windows!

they really are just a waste of time, all any of them ever do is to mask the smell.

come on think about it, when did you last visit a place that smelt of oranges, even orange orchards dont smell of oranges

Plus they can trigger Asthma attacks! Not a well-know fact unfortunately but there are many persons allergic to all these type of 'hide the smell' (including perfume etc).

Open the window, healthy for yourself and your home.

Jeeeezzzeee ... we've gone from the standard block of jelly, to pot-pourie (which gets knocked over everywhere), to plug in, plug in with fan assist, plug in with three scents, timed plug in, auto squirt, illuminated ... the whole bludy lot!

Now we have one of those bigger ones which pumps out an aerosol burst every so often - but loud enough to make you jump every time!

Bring back the shake and vac I say

There's no substitute for a dry, clean well ventilated house. If you have musty smells, get this sorted rather than inflate the profits of the company who makes the liquid wicks. You only have to look at the amount of money they spend on TV adverts to see how much profit they make from these things. I work in the industry and it's just a cheap perfume in a water/surfactant mix in a bottle/wick system made for a few pennies in China.

Nobody needs these b****y things! Just open the effing windows!

Couldn't agree more. VENTILATION!!!! Today's stupid draught sealing fad means there are more undesirables floating around in buildings, and then we go and add another one which is a potential health hazard. Bad enough for adults, but for small children it borders on abuse.

If only that was all they do. The simple maxim is "if you wouldn't drink it, don't breath it".

Breathing it is worse, as it has direct access to your bloodstream!!!

I was once told by a fire fighting instructor that these devices commonly cause house fires. Not worth the risk.
