Cost to pitch a flat roof

Hello, I know this is a DIY forum but I don't know where else to ask this question...

How much would it cost to pay a contractor to add a pitched roof to a house that currently has a flat roof? The house is 1,045 sq. ft. on the main level, and the house is a one story with a full basement. I understand that there are many variables but I just want something ballpark - ie does it cost $30k USD or more like $18k USD. I'm leaning more towards $18k.

The house is in Denver, CO so construction costs are probably about equal to national averages.

you are asking the wrong nationality (uk) here.

i guess it will be trusses, plyboard and shingles and aluminum gutters.

an average detached house, say 8m x 8m could cost as much as $25,000.

the roof coverings over here can cost a lot (plain clay tiles with hips and valleys) and can also vary a lot.

as can the specifications regards insulation.

if you required a loft room then the costs go up even more.

too many variables too compare.
