Make-up load of concrete

A bit of advice sought about pouring my garage raft slab.

The concrete is being delivered in two parts, a full load of 6cm and a make-up load of approx 1.3cm.

I think the best way to check the make-up quantity will be to sread the concrete and then measure the outstanding depth to the top of the shuttering.
Will this be ok for the second batch to be spread across the whole area or would it be preferable to move it up to one end and level that off and pour the make-up load in the resulting gap?
I'm thinking in this weather it's not going to go off all that quickly (I have my hessian, bubblewrap and tarps to cover overnight)

I ramble on.

What are your thoughts?

provided you get the make-up load within an hour or two, then it ain't gonna matter.

in reality you don't want to be messing around with concrete too much as it is very heavy going.

get it poured, levelled, tamped and trowelled as swiftly and as easily as you possibly can. see if you can get the delivery driver to disperse the material as evenly as he can.

I've got flat, wide access to it and I've asked to make sure he's got a good 5mtr chute which should help.

(Also two 6ft sons with new wellies)
