3rd post on this site and hope this goes as well as the others!! on a night time i have noticed that in my kitcehn i have a metal switched socket for my outside lights, when i rub my fingers over the metal switch face plate i can feel a sort of buzzing through my fingers!! does anyone know what this could be down to, you can tfeel it on a morning or afternoon but mainly on a night time? Is there a proper earth to the metal plate? With a two-pole voltage detector, what voltage do you get between L & E?
Hi, there is an earth to the back box from the wires, i did not put an earth to the metal switch plate as i thought it would be grounded by the 2 securing screws which hold the switch in place to the back box or am i wrong???
