About to fit a new uPVC window into a new opening in a kitchen. Although I'm generally familiar with the process, I haven't fitted one myself before. Is the best way to level and fix the cill the wall first with frame fixings, and then the window to the cill using normal screws. Or fix the cill to the window first and then drill through both and fix to the wall with frame fixings? Been advised either method is valid, but would welcome some advice.

Thanks.

cut cill to window opening if fitting horns, then fix cill to bot of window, then apply a bed of mortar to brick work beneath cill, mortar needs to be smooth and soft. then gently lower window onto mortar bed tapping down onto bed till head goes into aperture. sight cill in and try for level, then fix sides. when mortar has started to dry but is still workable cut of under cill. this method when done correctly will eliminate the need to drill down.
glaze window first then seal perimeter.out side and bobs your uncle.

hope this helps.
