Hi all,

I am replacing some under cabinet task lights in my kitchen and want to add one more than was originally there.

They are connected to a switched fused wall socket on the ring main, protected by a 3amp fuse.

I have 3 linolite sylvania lamps to hook up, each with a 30W bulb. Can someone verify that my calculations are correct / safe...

(3 x 30W) / 230V = 0.39 amps

Question 1: Would I be better off with a 1A fuse?
Question 2: Do I need 1mm cable to link between the 3 lamp units?

Many thanks

That will be fine.

You don't need to lower your fuse there's no point unless your cable couldn't carry 3 amps or more.
