I have a upvc door with a fixed upper half double glazed window.Is it possible to replace this with an opening one (top hinged) without changing the door?

it would be possible if you can identify exactly whos profile it is. then you could have a tilt and turn sash assuming the glass in glazed from the inside . the sash would be fitted to make a sort of stable type door but try mixing and matching profiles and you are asking for trouble.
