Hi,

We're converting our flat and will be moving the kitchen to the other side of the flat which will require running the waste pipe a distance of c.7.5m to reach the existing outlet. What advice would you give for the degree of incline from beginning to end? ie. How much should the pipe be raised for every metre?

Advice gratefully received!

Marley state a minimum gradient of 18mm per 1 metre, which is 1:55.

1:40 is about 1.5°.

Personally, I prefer 2.5°, which is 1:23, or about 43mm per 1 metre.

7.5 meters exceeds the maximum length for an unvented branch; 32mm = 1.7m; 40mm = 3m; 50mm = 4m.
