The little lever that the lid pushes down so the machine knows the lid is closed broke off! I can try to stick it back on tomarrow when I can get some glue.
However, I'm curious. Can I just jerry rig the wires so that the machine always thinks the lid is closed? The machine is a 'heavy duty - signature 2000 washing machine from sears( was montgomery wards when purchased).
All help is greatly appreciated!

Ok that's fine. I don't have any children living in my house and I figure people realize why the lid locks and to know better than to disable the safety feature with children living in their house.
