2001 Seat Leon,faulty lights

Hi all,mY SEAT LEON 2001 has started playing up when the head lights are off and I put my foot on the brakes the left head light comes on,and when I am driving with the head lights after a few mins a fault light comes on the dash,I looked it up and it says it a exhilarater pedal or cable problem.
Anyone got any ideas how to fix.

More than likely you have an earth problem in one of the rear lamp clusters......or perhaps someone has put an incorrect bulb in. For example, a double filiament bulb put into a single filiament holder will give all sorts of weird problems. My guess is a faulty earth connection though.

[ hi coleaine sounds like a bad erth on the brake lights take the builb cluster out and check for coroushin

Cheers guys,I looked at the break lights ,I could not see anything faulty,but I removed the bulbs and then refitted them,all seems to be working fine,maybe just a loose bulb.
