Hello
I have a long-standing problem with our Vokera Mynute 16e boiler, which is just coming up to six years old. It ust cuts out regularly, and the red light flashes. Then it comes back on some time later. I've had two independent engineers come out to look at it, one fixed the pressure and checked everything else he thought it could be. It didn't mend it, so he gave up. The second one identified it as something not having been inflated in the factory, inflated it - and that didn't mend it either.
It works for long enough to keep us warm mostly but if it cuts out just before the water is due to come on, then we don't get any hot water. So at the moment it's inconvenient but I really don't want it to suddenly go off and stay off for good.
Anyway, having paid two independent engineers to fail to fix it, I thought it would be safer to use Vokera's fixed price service instead. The price is a bit steep at £182.85 but the worst thing is that you still have to pay £79 even if they can't fix it! This strikes me as a charter to not try very hard to fix it - or to claim it can't be fixed if it's going to cost Vokera over £180.
Or is this standard stuff? Any advice appreciated. Thanks.
