Fascia Boards?

Hope i post this in the right section (guttering??)?

what timber is used as fascia boards?

need to replace mine asap.

have been told to just use pine?? isn't that a bit soft?

whats the best way to go about the job? how are they secured etc?

use pvc ones,they go up easy and tou never have to paint em.

but they all seem to have a 'return leg'?

mine are flush to the wall (15mm)...................

you would have to fit 40mm straps along the truss ends to give the projection to accomodate the 18mm dog leg facings.
if you go down this road make sure the roof covering still has enough projection into gutter.
