I live in a first floor flat and am thinking about seeing if my downstairs neighbour would like to build an extension ( meaning I could have one too above hers.. )

as it stands, the back garden is split in two and I own half of it..

do you think we could get planning permission for something like this?

it's only the same as a 2 storey extension on a house...

Hi Coljack, depending on the size and location of the proposed extension it may fall under permitted development rights, if not you will have to apply for planning permission.
