Pilot light keep going out.
will not relight or respark. A new thermocouple was fitted a year ago.
The problems has been going on for 3 months. Three boiler fitters have not solved the problem. Can anyone suggest a solution?

I dont know what a "boiler fitter" is meant to be.

Are they people you called back from the pub?

All you need is just one competent boiler engineer!

We would charge £84 plus any parts in our local area. Did you expect the "boiler fitters" to fix it free or for £10 ? Pay peanuts...

Could be a lot of things. Why do people expect an appliance to last forever??? 1986??

Thorn Apollo! If you want to keep it going got to be new thermocouple, new overheat stat and clean pilot ;)
Where in Glos :?:

could well be t/couple, I would also check flue hasn't rusted through, no gaps between CC and heat exchanger (allowing POC to knock out the OH stat), and also check there is not a gas leak on the pilot tube union where it goes into the pilot assy.
