Hi folks,
I have to replace the basin in my bathroom.
The existing outlet pipe is 1⅛"(external) copper and goes down to (& into) the concrete floor.
The basin already has a 1¼" waste.

The old - brass - 'S' trap did match these two sizes.

Is there anything around today to do the same thing ?

I would prefer a plastic 'S' trap that is adapted/able, but I have room to adapt the 1⅛" outlet pipe if I have to, before using a standard 1¼" trap.

Thanks for reading.

Thanks BAHCO:

As in my original post, the 28mm copper outlet pipe goes into the concrete floor - so for the time being, changing it all isn't an option - maybe in the future.

On re-reading my post, I think it ought to read:
"Adaptor from 28mm copper to 32mm plastic" needed !

There is possibly a 32mm 'S' trap with reduced out-let (to 28mm) already out there,,,,, it's just a matter of finding one in time.

thanks again

Hi.

An expensive way might be to increase the 28mm to 35mm copper with a copper adaptor.

32mm waste has an external diameter of about 34mm, so you might be able to then fit a compression waste.

Andy.
