I have a Baxi 130, about 5 years old..

It now keeps showing a high pressure reading, in the red and over 3 bar.
Recently i took off 2 rads for decorating and put them back on. Since then i seem to have lots of air in the system and have to constantly bleed them.

However when the boiler isnt running the pressure goes way up in the red. last few days it has vented out and done some banging when the hot water tap is turned on..

Any ideas please !!! Have i just created a big air block or do we think it's a faulty part and co-incedence it happened after the rad change...

Apart from the possible air locks, have you made sure the filling loop is fully closed and/or disconnected?

Yep.. !! That did cross my mind but checked and re-checked..
When the boiler is on the pressure does go down.. But always comes back to high pressure when no demand from HW or CH...

If you have removed the filling loop, you need a new plate heat exchanger.
