Can I disconnect the cable leading from the box of a Scantronic 500 r? I want to re route the path it takes to the external siren, and then I would reconnect it? I am worried that I wont be able to cancel any tamper setting etc. Thanks

if its done to the correct standards, and the batery is not flat, when you dissconect the external sounder it will activate on its own battery, and the main alarm should go into tamper.
The tamper you cn stop with your code, but the external siren you cant becuse its no connected to the panel
