I have just fitted a new radiator and have wrapped up to 8 turns of PTFE tape around the tail and tightened it with a radiator spanner, but it still seems to have a sloww leak. Any suggestions? How many turns of PTFE can I use? Woulud more help? Is the radiator or valve tail likely to be faulty?

Cheers

Put on more PTFE, you can use as many wraps as is necessary to ensure a seal. The amount of wraps is not an exact science but more of a "knack" but ensure that you taper the thickness so that it is slightly biased towards the valve connection

Hi
Put your back into it.

For future reference wrap ptfe on the olive, better still plumbers mait and hold the valve steady with a suitable wrench while with a second wrench tighten the nut.
