Is it too early sow grass seed??

Last year I rotavated my front lawn and re laid it by sowing fresh seed. The trouble was after I had finished sowing the seed, we had a right good downpour of rain and it washed some of the seed away, as well as causing troughs and dips in the soil.
So now I want to fill in all the dips etc, make level again, roll it, then re seed it all in a couple of days.
Now as the weather has been exceptly mild and settled at the moment, I would like to do it this weekend if its not too early.
