Hi,

I need to treat a wooden door with preservative. I've looked around a lot and not found one that's been reputed to be good AND available readily in the UK. Apparently Cabot products are very good, but it's very scarcely available here as far as I know. And I've heard that Cuprinol isn't that good...

Can anyone suggest a tried, tested and trusted preservative that I can use on a newly bought hardwood door?? I plan on preserving and then glossing it with paint afterwards

Thanks!

there are many "all in one" products. what your local merchant has will be ok. read the ingredients - it's all the same stuff. wear gloves and don't let your pets or kids near it.
