I have a Potterton Puma 80e combi boiler. The low system pressure light is on and neither the hot water nor the central heating work.

The boiler is about 5 years old and has been working fine for at least the last 6 months since I moved in.

The black dial on the pressure gauge is on 2.

Please can anyone help.

The pressure gauge was on 0 initially so I switched the valve on the filling loop until it went to 2 - I have subsequently reduced it to 1.5 using the other value to release the pressure

The low pressure light is still on and I have no hot water nor any heating!!!

Thanks ChrisR you're a genius. It worked like a dream and I have reconnected the switch and it still works fine.

Not sure why it stopped working in the first place but hopefully it wont happen again.

thanks again :D
