There is a fungus which keeps appearing in my lawn. At present I dig out the turf and dispose of it whenever it appears. Does anyone know what it is and what is the best way of getting rid of it?
That looks like moss with lichens growing in it. It's not a problem, and is much easier to live with than to try getting rid of it. A lime dressing may help, but a lawn is an unnatural state, and so needs lots of work if you aspire to a bowling green.
