Ladies and Gentlemen. I'm currently in the process of renovating my greenhouse and surrounding area. I've got all the bits I need to implement pretty much any control system in the garden I want.

My desire is to implement a heater + lighting to augment the greenhouse environment during the winter months to get a second cropping cycle.

I've looked at metal halide (spl?) lights, but came across an artical on red and blue LED lighting.

Does anyone have any experience in using lighting systems like this for growing fruit and veg?

Cheers,
Sam.

Ah, if only I was back at uni...

Alas, can't view that site from work. But, in all honesty, the greenhouse is far FAR too public to grow anything other than food :p

Guess the principals are the same though for all plants (give or take). Will have a look tonight.

Sam.
