if a dealer is asking 22000 for a new car, new model,is this the price they expect or will they deal on this ?,general question i know just wanted other peoples opinions

The vast majority of cars can be discounted - some very heavily indeed. However, there are still some vehicles that will not be discounted at all - it depends on the demand for them.
You do have to watch that the dealer, if he decides to discount your new car, doesn't under value your trade in though (if you have one). Shop around! There isn't much dealer to public loyalty these days - if indeed there ever was.

do you really need new car - you can save a lot of money on a nearly new car and still have warranty etc. look at car supermarkets or dealers of the car you're interested in.

£22,000 is a lot of money make sure you are getting the best deal you can. icon_biggrin.gif

Personally I would stay away from Car Supermarkets. All ex-fleet or auction cars. May claim to have had a 1 billion point check, but who knows.

We have had 4 cars from Fords of Winsford and been happy with every one. each lasted well and only needed work doing to them when they got old.

depends where you go I think.
