I have a Triton - Ivory electric shower (is oldish)

For some reason the water is very lukewarm now, if hot at all.

Was wondering the reason and if it can be repaired or a new shower unit would be required?

sounds like one of the elements has gone.
do a continuity test on the elements.
with the power off.

I am not sure what part I would do the test on, I haven't done one before on a shower.

I have heard that an electric shower that lasts 5 years or so is good and you are better off replacing them when they go??

I think mine's easily 5 years old, maybe longer...

Yeah thats the one, the triton ivory.

I am not sure though about doing the test - there seem to be loads of wires inside! When you say with the power off, do you mean just the pull cord btw?

pull cord long as the shower isn't receiving power or you'll get a belt.

look at 4 on the pic they are the elements
they are in 2 pairs.

use a multi meter and set to continuity and put + - on one pair and see if you get a continuity across them.
