Advice on finishing laminate flooring

Hi, i am putting laminate floring in a dining room and i also want to panel the walls a third up with some T and G, i am not sure what would be the best way to finish the skirting. Would i use the laminate flooring mathching skirts or the T and G i will be using or niether and use beading to fill the expansion gap. Any help or advice before i start would be apreciated . Thanks
