Hi guys,

Im a total loss with anything DIY and have no idea how anything works (not a good start I know) but I would very much like your help in finding out what is going on.

One of the overflow pipes on the side of our house has started running more or less constantly with hot water (I always thought it was just the cold water tank that had an overflow - See, shows you how much I really don't know!)

The heating is on constantly as we have an aged relative living with us who really feels the cold. I need to know if this flow from the pipe is a problem? Obviously its a waste but I can put up with that for now. Any help would be great - if you need me to add more information to this woefully inadequate explanation then let me know.

Many thanks in advance.

This is not the place (or time) to start practising DIY, get a heating engineer in :)
