Monobloc mixer tap stiff and noisey
Reply with quote Thanks

Hi all,
I have just installed a monobloc mixer basin tap. It is very stiff and squeaky as though the discs are rubbing together and the flow rate isn't as it should be (though that isn't a major problem).
Is there a maintenance method to cure this, similar to breaking down a traditional tap to silicon grease it?
cheers

Either

A) You have allowed some muck or dirt to get inside the tap. Dismantle and clean it out.

Or

B) You have bought a piece of carp from B&Q. Sit down in a dark, quiet room, and ask yourself why you did such a thing. Then go and get your money back and get something decent.
